About
Every year thousands of nurses migrate from dozens of countries around the world, to dozens of other countries around the world. They go looking for better working conditions, employment opportunities, career development, and for the adventure of travelling in a foreign country.
Many end up in Australia.
Every major city, large town, and even some small towns across Australia have both public and private hospitals, aged care and other health facilities. The employment opportunities are endless, from Flight Nurse with the Royal Flying Doctor to Aged Care Nursing, and all points in between. Community Health, Rural and Remote Nursing in the outback areas of Australia, or Nurse run clinics providing health care for indigenous and remote communities.
It’s all here.
Working in another country is the best way to immerse yourself in the local lifestyle and culture, providing a depth of experience you could never hope to achieve as a tourist.
Nursing in Australia offers the opportunity to work in some of the best health care facilities in the world, the chance to broaden your horizons and provide you with skills and abilities you just cannot get anywhere else in the world. Career choices and learning opportunities with good pay rates to help the adventurous among you to achieve goals and gain experiences that will make you a more valuable asset to any facility when (if) you return home.
This site is about the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland.
Why? Because this is where I live, work and play.
Although I have had contracts in Rural and Remote settings, worked in indigenous facilities, spent time with Queensland Corrective Services, and worked in several major hospitals in the Brisbane Metropolitan area, the Sunshine Coast is home.
