If you’re thinking about visiting Australia to work or live then you might like to visit a more comprehensive source to obtain an Australian Visa.

All visitors to Australia are required to obtain a visitor’s visa before they depart their homeland.  Visas generally allow a visiting period of up to 12 weeks.

International flights arrive at either Brisbane or Sydney Airport. If you arrive in Sydney, commuter flights to Brisbane or direct to the Sunshine Coast are frequent, so you may have a chance to see the sights
If your arrival is in Brisbane, commuter flights are available to the Sunshine Coast airport, or you may choose to take a bus or train to one of the many destinations on the Sunshine Coast.  Some operators have a regular door to door service from the airport to your accomodation on the Sunshine Coast.

If you choose to take a flight from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast airport, daily services from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne are met by a local Sunshine Coast bus operator that will bring you to your accommodation from the airport. Taxis and limousines are available as well.

Train services from the Brisbane airport to the city center run frequently. Once in the city, you can book your train ticket to Nambour.  Services run several times a day from Brisbane to Nambour with road services that connect to the remainder of the Sunshine Coast.

If travelling by coach, several operators offer a service that will drive you to the door of your accommodation on the Sunshine Coast as part of their service, with pickups from Brisbane Hotels, or the Roma Street Transit Center, located in the city center.

There are daily coach services from Brisbane’s Roma Street Transit Centre. Most interstate coach services pass through the Sunshine Coast travelling north and south. Some local coaches pick up from both the Domestic and International airports in Brisbane as well.

If travelling by car, it is approximately 90 minutes drive to the Sunshine Coast along the Bruce Highway, a four lane divided highway. The Sunshine Coast motorway extension which runs off the Bruce Highway will bring you directly across to the coast itself. This facility offers rapid access the length of the coast from Noosa to Mooloolaba, through the David Low Way to Caloundra.  Car and Campervan Hire can be organised prior to your departure, or on arrival in Australia.  Several car hire companies have airport offices, or you can book on line.  There are often “deals” or discounts available from various companies, so shop around. If you are coming from outside Australia, check driving licence and insurance requirements before booking.

If you happen to be travelling in the family yacht, Mooloolaba is one of Queensland’s most protected harbours.  The Mooloolaba Yacht Club offers excellent anchorage facilities for cruising craft, and always extends a very warm welcome to travellers. A major maintenance and repair facility is situated next door to the club’s premises.
